I have to admit I was sooo excited but abit scared on the journey to Glastonbury having heard nightmare stories about parking 7 miles away from your camp and the toilet stories …… well I’m sure most of you have heard about them!
On arrival with my soon to be good mates Nicky and Nicky we found “Vickys Place” very easily and only a 10 min walk from the car. Clare and Vicky had arrived on the Wednesday with the campervan and put up our 3 second ‘throw in the air’ tents so we were greeted with nothing to do but have an ice cold g & t to celebrate the start of the festival.
Walking down into the festival on the Thursday night took my breath away – it is like a small city! wrist bands and tickets sorted we were in and straight into bands, people, dancing and later …………. the famous Glasto rain!
I was blown away by the festival, like living in a different world, full of peace and harmoney and the music was awesome. Lily Allen blew me away but not as much as Blur on the last night – the memory will last forever and I think about the performance every day since being lucky enough to have watched them.
See http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk for some great photos and details of the festival. Hope to see you there next year!
