A few years ago whilst discussing Mothers Day with a friend he said exactly that! “my wife sorts out that kind of thing, and has our 2 mums covered” When asked if he had sorted out anything for his wife (new mum to twins) his face was a picture! “Oooohhh Nooooo I didn’t think about that he said”!
Some may say its all just commercial trollop, and yes some shops can make it seem like that sometimes but it really is a day to just thank mums and remember all they do for us. Life is so hectic alot of the time and time stops for no-one but is very precious so I hope Mothers Day for all you mums out there is a day which suits you down to the ground whatever it may be.
